Liquid waste management
How do you manage to neutralise liquid waste especially after HIV Viral load testing ? For my machine , the manufacture said that, the liquid waste from the machine already neutralise? Do you have any experience about it ?

Try to look at the MSDS (material safety data sheet) of the reagents you are handling. It can also be on the product insert. From there, you will see all the necessary information especially the disposal procedure of the waste product post analysis.
Dear Robert , Thank you for sharing this idea. But MSDS sheet is define different reagents . Since the reagents is already mix up with each other. By the way, I will find and check it again. Thank so much
Hi Pich, I have reached out to the experts at my branch for assistance. They want to know which HIV platform(s) you are using and the amount of waste that is being generated. This additional information will assist us with providing appropriate guidance. Meanwhile, there are multiple options available for healthcare waste management in general. You can start by looking at the WHO Blue book for Healthcare Waste Management (download link), which will lay out some of the currently feasible methods of healthcare waste management.
In our lab, liquid waste is disposed of in a closed underground pit. However, the Ministry of Health is seeking better ways to dispose of this waste, such as precipitation. Our lab was chosen among the two labs in the country to pilot this method by Titration and Precipitation, and we are in the procurement phase of the items required for this.
I believe we will still be in contact by the time this comes to fruition, and I'll let you know the outcome.
Other methods I have read about are:

Thank so much katy, I will look into your sharing link for detail. My platform is HIV Viral Load testing by Abbott Alinity M and Abbott m2000sp. Thank you
Dear Salome, This is a great source for me. I will look into it.
Thanks for this information Dr. Katy. Looking forward to know more about what the experts suggest.
