I just want to know from your lab experience,

when new staff is introduced, usually who is the one who do the staff orientation? Is it the laboratory director or else?

Comments

  • Our lab experience is most of the time Lab director introduce new staff for lab staff , environment , different facilities , norm , etc if there is no other priorities. May assign Quality Manager or other senior lab staff when he is not available or busy with other activities .

  • Laboratory Manager in our lab

  • Laboratory orientation should be done by the Health and Safety Manager, after the new staff have been introduced to the laboratory by the laboratory director or quality manager. The orientation should be done using an orientation checklist and have it documented

  • the lab director introduces new staff to department heads and draws a schedule for the unit heads to introduce the new staff to their units.

  • In our laboratory the lab manager introduces new staff to other staffs and he may also introduce the staff to the premises or he may request a senior lab staff to introduce the new staff to the lab and hospital premises. When it comes to orientation on departmental activities and QMS that will be done by the Quality officer and specific section heads

  • Thank you everyone for your sharing. 🙏

  • Lab manager, Quality officer, Safety officer, and Department heads
